ISCIENCES - A TEAM OF EXPERTS
ISciences is a team of experts in environmental science and remote sensing, and we are the creators of the TerraViva! family of data visualization products about Earth and its people. Our mission is to promote better understanding of Earth for the mutual benefit of society and the environment using science and technology.

We pride ourselves on our versatility in conducting integrated assessments of multi-source information to comprehend complex societal issues. ISciences maintains familiarity and currency with a broad spectrum of environmental, socioeconomic and political data bases, those drawn from remote sensing and GIS as well as standard geostatistical databases. This capability enables rapid deployment of new information to emerging problems, enhancing the currency and thoroughness of analysis.

ISCIENCES - IMAGING AND INFORMATION SCIENCES
We call ourselves "I-Sciences" because we use imaging and information sciences to study the Earth. We develop innovative software to improve public access to the rich archives of data about Earth. We study the implications of environmental stress on human security. We build tools and databases to monitor sustainable use of Earth resources using spatial data acquired through remote sensors. Our projects have included: measuring the productivity of cultivated land in China; mapping global patterns of energy use with nighttime illumination; and examining the implications of changes in the Russian boreal forest.
