At ISciences we apply our expertise in scientific and statistical databases, software development, and image interpretation to assess the capability for sustainable development within a situation or a region. Sustainable development embraces the notion of stewardship to a healthy environment - resulting in long-lasting benefits to the region and its inhabitants. ISciences applies the most sophisticated measurement and analytical tools available - as well as our own custom-engineered tools - to support our customers by monitoring the environment, by measuring how it is changing, and by evaluating the effects of those changes on human security.

ISCIENCES - EXPERTS IN IMAGE INTERPRETATION
In the image at right a non-standard combination of spectral bands from Landsat Thematic Mapper that includes shortwave infrared (SWIR) measurements sets the unusual color tones of green and purple. This image was collected by Landsat over the semi-arid Western Great Plains. Blue tones designate bare soil, greens native vegetation and grasslands, purple and yellow indicate crops in various stages of development. Circular patterns indicate use of pivot irrigation systems. Fields plowed in strips are left to fallow every other year to fix soil nutrients.
