The forecast through October indicates that water deficits will downgrade in Mexico but persist from Chihuahua into Durango and along the Coatzacoalcos and Papaloapan Rivers in Veracruz. Areas of surplus include the Yucatan and pockets in Central America.

The forecast through July indicates that water anomalies will shrink considerably throughout the region but intense deficits will persist in Chihuahua, Mexico and surpluses will persist in Sonora.  Surpluses are also forecast in pockets of Central America.

The forecast through August 2019 indicates that Mexico will transition to nearly normal water conditions in the north with some deficits in Baja and persistent surpluses in northern Coahuila. A small pocket of severe deficit is forecast for northern Puebla State. Moderate deficits are expected in pockets of northern Central America, and surpluses in pockets of the south. Exceptional deficits are forecast for Haiti.
