DELAYED: ISCIENCES WORLDWIDE WATER WATCH LIST JANUARY 2019
11 January 2019
Thank you for your continued interest in ISciences' monthly Global Water Monitor & Forecast Watch List. This update is to inform you that the forthcoming edition, originally scheduled for release on January 15, 2019, will be delayed due to the partial US government shutdown.
The Water Watch List presents a selection of regions likely to encounter significant water anomalies in the next few months and is one analytical product in a suite derived from the ISciences Water Security Indicator Model (WSIM). WSIM makes use of several input datasets, including observed monthly mean temperature and total precipitation for the most recent month. These data are produced by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NOAA has not yet produced these two datasets, likely due to the partial government shutdown.
We apologize for the delay and will keep you informed regarding the publication date of Global Water Monitor & Forecast Watch List - January 2019.
Past editions of the Water Watch List as well as companion Regional Reports are archived and available through the “Search blog categories” menu on the right.
