The forecast through August indicates that water deficits will emerge in Russia’s Pechora River Basin, increase from Trans-Volga past Tyumen, and shrink and moderate in western Kazakhstan. Surpluses will remain widespread in the Yenisei River Watershed.

The forecast through July indicates water deficits in Russia’s Pechora River region, on the Gulf of Ob, the Lower Yenisei River area, and the Central Siberian Plateau. Surpluses in the Lower Ob Watershed will shrink. Deficits on the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan will moderate.

The forecast through June indicates that water deficits in Kazakhstan on the Caspian will become exceptional. Intense deficits will emerge north of Tyumen, Russia. Deficits will persist in the Lena River Watershed, but exceptional surpluses will emerge west of the Lower Lena.
