The forecast through January 2022 indicates that water deficits in north-central Mexico will intensify, becoming exceptional. Surpluses are forecast in a path through central Mexico and in many regions of Central America and the Caribbean.

Areas with a forecast of significant water surplus include: China, Nepal, and Southeast Asia. This Watch List is based on ISciences Water Security Indicator Model v2 (WSIMv2) run on 8 November 2021.
