The forecast through January 2023 indicates many areas of intense deficit, including Newfoundland, Quebec into Labrador, southeastern Ontario, central and northeastern Manitoba, central Saskatchewan, and much of the central and northern regions of Alberta and British Columbia.

The forecast through December indicates areas of intense water deficit in every region and moderate deficits in southern Saskatchewan, southern Alberta, and southern Ontario. Pockets of surplus are expected in southern British Columbia and widespread surpluses in northwestern Saskatchewan.

The forecast through November indicates intense water deficits in large tracts throughout the provinces’ northern regions. Deficits elsewhere include Newfoundland, Southern Ontario, and from Montreal to Trois-Rivières in Quebec.

The forecast through October indicates many areas of intense water deficit including southern Newfoundland, eastern New Brunswick, and large pockets of Nord-du-Québec, eastern Ontario, and northern Manitoba. Surpluses are forecast in British Columbia’s Thompson and Quesnel Watersheds.

The forecast through September indicates water deficits in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, large areas of Quebec and Ontario, and northern Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. Surpluses are forecast in southeastern British Columbia and northwestern Saskatchewan.
