The forecast through March 2023 expects Africa to experience intense surpluses throughout the southern Sahel, which continue throughout Burkina Faso, southern Sudan, and Chad.

Areas of significant water surplus include: Pakistan, Thailand, Cambodia, central Africa, and southeastern Australia.
