The August 2020 Outlook indicates much wetter than normal conditions in Gujarat, India and in the Horn of Africa. Notable areas with a forecast of exceptionally warmer than normal temperatures include eastern Canada, much of southern China into Southeast Asia, and Queensland, Australia.

United States: Water deficits forecast for the Northeast

The forecast through September indicates that water surpluses will shrink and downgrade in the South, Southeast, and Upper Midwest. Deficits will persist in Northern California, shrink and downgrade in the Rockies and Southwest, and increase in the Northeast.

Many analyses reported in ISciences-authored blog posts are based on data generated by the ISciences Water Security Indicator Model (WSIM).
